Emmanuel Vallod

Emmanuel Vallod is a Partner and the Head of Ventures at Hivemind, closely partnering with founders and blockchain ecosystems to build and support the next generation of infrastructures, finance, dApps and web3 experiences. Prior to Hivemind, Emmanuel was CIO at Stake Capital, a crypto OG investment firm. He led the fintech and blockchain VC practice in the US for early-stage investments at GSR Ventures before that. Emmanuel's experience also extends to trading, as he previously co-led the systematic securitized team at Blackrock for over 5 years, a $2B-a-year gross revenue business covering passive and active mandates for retail and institutionals. He co-originated 2 IPOs in that space which have been foundational to fixed-income smart-beta investing. He subsequently founded and ran an enterprise fintech startup prior to joining the VC side of the ecosystem. Emmanuel also teaches Blockchain and Fintech at top US and Asia universities as well as to a global roaster of asset allocators and asset owners. He advises Berkeley SkyDeck on their crypto, blockchain and fintech tracks. He holds a MFE from UC Berkeley and a MSc in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale Lyon.
